Ainsworth and Martin was formed in 1920 to serve the large number of cotton mills in the area. At one time it had more than 100 mills on its books. Since that time the company has built up a number of significiant relationships including several blue chip multinational companies to provide a highly reliable service to them. We now operate throughout the UK and Europe on their behalf with 100 vehicles of various specifications.

The current Managing Director has developed the business into a dynamic organisation whose main function is to move goods throughout the world by all available modes. In addition, it also performs several other functions including storage, exhibition logistics and project management.

The company as it now exists has over 120 employees and 100 vehicles. It has strategic alliances with several large european logistics organisations and a vast array of sub-contractors covering all types of competencies.
